For Parents

At Ernest Bevin we work in partnership with Parents and families to ensure every young person is supported through their Secondary and Sixth Form education. There are many ways parents can help support their son at school.

Click the link below which details some of the ways a parent can offer support.

Positive Behaviours for Learning

We also run workshops on specific topics - see below. Please respond via the My Ed app invitiation that was sent to all parents in Years 7-11.

Parent Workshops 2018

There are a number of resources on the college website to help support parents and keep them informed. For example

Doddle Learn: Online homework - parental log ins and sent home in the first few weeks of the new academic year.

My Ed app- App for your smart phone with general information about the college and details unique to your child

Accelerated Reader - Reading scheme to help improve literacy.

We also invite parents in to the college throughout the year.

Parent Forum - Informal Coffee morning where parents can hear more about college life

Parent's Evenings - minimum of once a year meeting with subject teachers

Year 7 Induction Evenings - to introduce new Year 7 parents to the college.

We also occasionally are able to offer training for parents. Recent courses have included European Computing Licence & ESOL. Click on the links below for more information.
