Awards & partnerships

Ernest Bevin College receives recognition for the work it does as a school from a number of different external agencies and works in partnerships with organisations to improve the provision of education the college can offer students.

Health & Safety

In Octuber 2017, Wandsworth Borough Council, carried out their annual Health & Safety Inspection of Ernest Bevin College. The Inspection found the school was achieving between full compliance in 91-100% of the categories. This puts Ernest Bevin in the highest category 'Very good' and 2-3 categories above the majority of schools.


Ofsted's most recent inspection took place in October 2011 and the college was judged to be Outstanding.

In June 2016 Ernest Bevin College received STEM assured status in recognition of the sustained excellence in the STEM subject areas (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths and also including Computing & Art). It also recognises our commitment to forging ever stronger links with employers and universities in this key sector. The award lasts three years and the STEM Foundation reviews progress annually.

The International School Award is awarded by the British Council and Ernest Bevin College was first awarded this status in 2011. The award was renewed in 2016 for a further 3 years in recognition of the international links across the curriculum and the international ethos of the college.

Ernest Bevin College also works in partnership with the following sporting organisations to improve the sporting provision on offer to students at the college.

The charity Greenhouse Sports works with the college by providing specialist coaches in Judo, Table Tennis and Volleyball.

Tooting & Mitcham United FC run an academy based at Ernest Bevin College. Players complete their Sixth Form studies in college alongside their training and football commitments at the club.
