At the end of Science Week a small group of students went on a trip to the Making of Harry Potter studio tour. It was a cross-curricular trip organised by the Science and English department with the aim of getting some of the students to think creatively.

Denis, in Year 8 reports:

"Our trip to the Warner Bros studios, 'The Making of Harry Potter' was fantastic. To get there we had to take a train and a bus and then wait in a long queue - but it was worth it! We go to watch the Harry Potter films in a cinema and after that we go to the eplore the studio. We saw lots of costumes and the stages.

We took lots of photos of the sets and equipment. We also saw a scale model of Hogwarts that had been used to film the exterior shots of the castle. We visited the shop but everything was very expensive.

Then sadly our visit came to an end and we had to do the whole journey in reverse to get back to school. It was a great day out which we all thoroughly enjoyed."
