Red Nose Day 2017

Tooting MP visits EBC

14 Feb 2017 - 11:45AM Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, MP for Tooting paid her first visit to Ernest Bevin since being elected last year. She spoke to 6th Formers and answered their questions about politics. She also visited a Year 8 French lesson and had a tour of the college. She visited the sports centre which was of particular interest as she is Shadow Minister for Sport.… read more

Mr Day retires after 37 years

20 Dec 2016 - 12:39PM Mr Day, Careers Teacher, is retiring after 37 years at Ernest Bevin College. He began teaching History at the school in 1979 but soon moved to careers where he has helped thousands of students with their university applications and careers guidance. Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London and a former pupil, paid tribute to Mr Day at a retirement party held in his honour, saying he was 'testament to the very best of the teaching profession'.… read more

GCSE results 2016

25 Aug 2016 - 01:43PM In this summer's GCSE examinations 13 boys achieved 8 or more A*-A grades helping push the percentage of results at these highset grades to 18%. 59% of students achieved the all important A*-C in English and maths and 34% hit the government EBACC target of 5 or more GCSEs in English, Maths, Science, Humanity and a Modern Foreign Language. A Level Results 2016

18 Aug 2016 - 01:24PM Well done to all our Sixth Formers on their A level and BTEC results: two thirds of the 150 leavers have secured university places. 19% of A level entries were at grades A*-B and 49% grades A*-C. Red Tie Graduation 2016
