21 Feb 2017 - 02:49PM Congratulations to the Volleyball team who have added the Active Wandsworth Award for School Sports Team of 2016 to their list of titles which included National U15 champions last year. At the ceremony they said they were hoping to continue their success this year. Coach Ashley Trodden was also named Coach of the Year at the event held in February and Jaden in Year 8 was nominated for Junior Sports person of the year.… read more

Tooting MP visits EBC

14 Feb 2017 - 11:45AM Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, MP for Tooting paid her first visit to Ernest Bevin since being elected last year. She spoke to 6th Formers and answered their questions about politics. She also visited a Year 8 French lesson and had a tour of the college. She visited the sports centre which was of particular interest as she is Shadow Minister for Sport.… read more

Table Tennis winners

23 Jan 2017 - 12:00AM Congratulations to our Table Tennis teams who have qualified for the Regional finals in March. The under-16 team won the London Zone Finals and will travel to Bournemouth aiming for a place in the national finals. The under-13 team also have qualified for the regional competition by coming runners up in the London finals. The under-19 team narrowly missed out on progressing to the next stage but came a very impressive 3rd place against tough opposition.… read more

Mr Day retires after 37 years

20 Dec 2016 - 12:39PM Mr Day, Careers Teacher, is retiring after 37 years at Ernest Bevin College. He began teaching History at the school in 1979 but soon moved to careers where he has helped thousands of students with their university applications and careers guidance. Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London and a former pupil, paid tribute to Mr Day at a retirement party held in his honour, saying he was 'testament to the very best of the teaching profession'.… read more
