U15 Volleyball team win National Championships

16 May 2016 - 03:06PM The U15 Volleyball team won the National Championships on Saturday 14th May at Loughborough University. This is the first National championships Bevin Volleyballers have won in 8 years despite coming very close on many occasions in recent years. Ex-Bevin pupil elected London Mayor

13 May 2016 - 10:36AM The newly elected London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, was an ex-student at Ernest Bevin School. He attended the school in the 1980s and was on course to follow a career in dentistry when a teacher suggested he tried law because of his love of debating and public speaking. Sadiq has remained a good friend of the college, being a regular visitor particularly during his time as MP for Tooting and everyone here wishes him well.… read more

Mock London Mayor Election

06 May 2016 - 12:32PM On Thursday 5th May the College Council organised a Mock Election to decide who would be the next London Mayor. Tutor time was dedicated to talking about the different candidates and their election pledges and then everyone had the chance to vote. And the result? Resounding support for ex-Bevin boy Sadiq Khan who took 57% significantly ahead of all the other candidates.… read more

Harry Potter Visit 2016

Surrey Cricket Champions

22 Apr 2016 - 01:52PM Well done to the Year 10 Indoor Cricket Team who won the Surrey Indoor Cricket Championships on Wednesday 20th April to become County Champions. They faced five other schools who like the Bevin team, had won their local competition to secure a place in the final. On the day the Bevin cricketers were unbeaten, winning both their group matches, the semi- final and the final against Tiffins which they won by 5 runs in the last over.… read more
